RubyGems is an installer that provides you with a collection of Ruby Gems applications which can be run on a Ruby program. It is licensed under Ruby License.
To view available Perl Module, follow the instructions below:
Procedure:
1. On the homepage of your cPanel, click on RubyGem under Software / Services.
2. Click on the Show Available RubyGem (s) and Application (s) button.
3. When you find the RubyGem application, click on the Install button.
To search for a module, do the following:
1. On the homepage of your cPanel, click on RubyGem under Software / Services.
2. Type in the name of the module you want to install in the search box.
3. When you are done, click on the Go button.
4. When you see the RubyGem application that you want to install, click on the Install button.
5. To view the documentation for the RubyGem, click on the Show Docs button.
The Installed Ruby Gem (s) table allows you to manage the RubyGem you have installed.
1. If you feel that your Ruby Gem application is not updated, you can click on the Update button.
2. If you want to reinstall a Ruby Gem application, click on the Reinstall button.
3. If you want to uninstall a Ruby Gem application, click on the Uninstall button.
4. If you want to view the documentation for the Ruby Gem application, click on the Show Docs button.
cPanel comes with a number of Ruby Gem applications so that you don’t have to install them again. To learn about the full list of Ruby Gem applications that are preinstalled on the system, click the Show System Installed Modules button. The Ruby Gem applications that are preinstalled on cPanel cannot be deleted.
By following the guidelines above, you will be able to install Ruby Gem application through cPanel.
