How to Make Anti-Aging Treatments with Kiwi for Skin

Kiwi is the perfect fruit out of which to make anti-aging treatments because it contains vitamin C and vitamin E, two of the most important anti-oxidants found in nature. Instead of spending a lot of money on expensive anti-aging products, make your own skin products out of a fruit you can find in any supermarket. Kiwi also contains vitamin A (which protects the skin from sun damage) and a large amount of alpha hydroxy acid, or AHA (which you see on the labels of most skin care products). Further, the seeds of the kiwi prove perfect for exfoliating the skin and getting rid of dead skin cells. You can make various skin care products at home from kiwi at a cost of only about $2.

  • The most simple thing you can do is take out the pulp of a kiwi fruit, mash it until it has the consistency of a puree, and use it as a facial mask. Apply the pulp to your face, neck and cleavage, then leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes. Wash it off with warm water and apply your usual face moisturizer. Always use the kiwi facial mask when it’s fresh to get the most out of the vitamins and other substances the fruit contains. The longer the fruit has contact with air, the less effective the mask becomes. Vitamin C, for example, proves highly unstable and quickly wears out when in contact with air.

  • Combine the pulp of one kiwi fruit with a spoon of brown sugar. Mix everything together until you get a homogenous paste, then use it as a facial scrub. Don’t take too long to make the mixture, as the sugar might melt. The seeds from the kiwi, together with the brown sugar, will remove dead skin cells from your skin; meanwhile, the pulp of the kiwi will nourish it and leave it more smooth and supple. Massage the kiwi scrub on your face, neck, cleavage and the back of your hands with circular movements for a couple of minutes. Rinse well with warm to cool water, until no residue remains on your skin.
  • Apply a kiwi mask and do a kiwi scrub once or twice a week. Make sure you clean and hydrate your skin twice every day: once each in the morning and evening. Aside from your face cream, use a special anti-aging treatment for the skin around the eyes.
  • Age shows not only on the face and neck but also on the hands. The back of the hands also get wrinkles and unaesthetic dark spots. Prepare a kiwi mixture for your hands as well. Take out the pulp from a kiwi fruit, mash it, and add a spoon of olive oil. Use quality, extra virgin olive oil for the best results. Mix the olive oil with the kiwi pulp and apply it to the back of your hands. Keep the mixture on for 20 to 30 minutes and then rinse well. The vitamins from the kiwi fruit will nourish your hands’ skin, while the olive oil hydrates it and leaves it soft and supple.
