Items You Will Need:
- Pot or Saucepan
- 1 cup Couscous
- Towel
- 1 1/4 cups water
- Bowl
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Measuring Cup
- Salt
- Fork
Step 1
Get all the utensils and ingredients together to prepare for your couscous dish. You” need the ½ tsp. of salt, the uncooked couscous, saucepan, 1 ¼ cups of water, a bowl and a towel.
Step 2
Turn on the stove to medium heat. Pour in the 1 ¼ cups of water and the salt to the pot or sauce pan. But 1 cup of couscous in a bowl and set aside.
Step 3.
Warm the water in the sauce pan or pot until it comes to a full boil.
Step 4
Pout the salted, boiling water from the sauce pan or pot into the bowl along with 1 cup of uncooked couscous.
Step 5
Mix and gently stir the boiling water and the couscous. Incorporate them well. Make sure there are no lumps of couscous. Use a fork to break up any lumps so it cooks evenly..
Step 6
Use the towel to cover the couscous and water in the bowl. Let the couscous stand covered in the boiling water for four minutes.
Step 7
Uncover the bowl of couscous. Discard the kitchen towel. Use a fork to fluff your couscous after all the water is absorbed.
