Procedure:

Things you’ll need;

  • Unflavored gelatin mix
  • 1/4 cup of boiling water
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Cotton balls
  • Unused popsicle sticks
  • Petroleum jelly
  • Foundation makeup
  • Dark red blush
  • Soft-bristled makeup brush
  • Eyeshadow applicator
  • Cotton swabs

Step 1

You want to always start with a clean palette. Pull your hair away from you face. Secure your hair back with a pin or tie. Wash your face thoroughly with a gentle cleanser and water. Pat skin dry.

Step 2

Apply alcohol to a cotton ball. Wipe the place you want to apply the fake would. For instance, the forehead. This helps the make up to adhere to the skin. Excess alcohol will quickly evaporate.

Step 3

Boil ΒΌ cup of water. Add the unflavored gelatin mix to the water. Stir the gelatin and water together using the popsicle stick. Allow the gelatin to cool and thicken. When using the gelatin you want it to still be hot but safe to apply to your skin. Check the temperature of the gelatin as it cools with your finger tips. Use caution.

Step 4

Apply some petroleum jelly to a cotton swab. Rub the petroleum jelly on your eyebrows. This will protect the hair follicles of your eyebrows from getting glued onto the hot gelatin. This step is important. When you’re ready to remove your fake wound this will help.

Step 5

Use a well let work space. Tile your head slightly back and to an angle so you can clearly see how your work is coming along. Apply a small teaspoon full of gelatin to your forehead. Do this my allowing the gelatin to drip from the applicator stick onto the surface of your skin. You want to make sure the gelatin falls diagonally. Allow the gelatin to solidify before you move on.

Step 6

Apply another teaspoon of gelatin to your forehead using the same method. This time allow the gelatin to fall slightly above the last application. This will create to separate folds with a gap in between. Give these time to solidify. Once the folds are solid, apply some liquid foundation to the wounds. This gives them a realistic appearance of skin. Use another cotton swan to apply the dark red blush to the inside of the gash. This is the part that gives the wound the appearance of sliced skin. Or, you can always use fake blood. This is easy to find and apply.
